Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the use of the services offered by Votre maison de l'impôt Inc. ("we," "our," or "us") in connection with the preparation, production, and transmission of income tax returns in Québec and Canada.

By using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must stop using our services immediately.

2. Description of Services

We provide services related to the preparation and transmission of federal and provincial income tax returns, including but not limited to:

  • Collecting and analyzing financial and tax information.
  • Preparing personal and/or corporate tax returns.
  • Electronically transmitting returns to Revenu Québec and the Canada Revenue Agency (when possible; exceptions may apply).
  • Providing basic tax support and guidance.

3. Eligibility

To use our services, you must:

  • Have tax obligations in Canada or be a resident of Canada.
  • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.

4. Client Obligations

As a client, you agree to:

  • Provide truthful, complete, and accurate information.
  • Submit all required documents within the agreed-upon timeframe.
  • Notify us, before the transmission of your tax returns, of any errors or omissions you identify.
  • Fulfill your tax obligations with the appropriate authorities.

You are responsible for any consequences resulting from incomplete, false, or late information you provide.

5. Fees and Payment

  • Our fees are determined based on the complexity of your file.
  • Payments must be made according to the agreed-upon terms.
  • Any late payment may result in additional fees.

6. Responsibilities and Limitations

We commit to preparing your tax returns with care and professionalism. However:

  • We cannot guarantee the outcome of any audit, review, or reassessment conducted by Revenu Québec or the CRA.
  • We are not responsible for any penalties, interest, or financial losses resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or late information provided by the client.
  • Our services do not constitute complex tax or financial advice that would require a financial planner, chartered accountant, or tax attorney.

7. Privacy and Confidentiality

  • Your personal and tax information is processed in accordance with our [Privacy Policy].
  • We use security measures compliant with Québec's Law 25 to protect your data.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, documents, logos, texts, and visual materials related to our services remain the property of Votre maison de l'impôt Inc. and are protected under intellectual property laws.

Any reproduction, distribution, or use without prior authorization is strictly prohibited.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate our services if:

  • The client fails to comply with their obligations under these Terms.
  • Fraudulent or illegal information is provided.
  • Payments owed are not made.

The client may terminate services at any time, subject to payment of any fees incurred.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount of fees paid for the services rendered.
  • We shall not be held liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Québec and Canada.
  • Any dispute relating to the interpretation or application of these Terms shall be submitted to the courts of the judicial district of Longueuil, Québec.

12. Modifications

  • We may update these Terms at any time to reflect legal, regulatory, or operational changes.
  • The updated version will always be available on our website and will indicate the date of the latest revision.
